I am a UKATA registered  Certified Transactional Analyst,  Provisional Supervising and Teaching Transactional Analyst and UKCP registered humanistic psychotherapist based in Skipton.

It was whilst working as a social worker in the field of mental health that I first developed my interest in working with individual psychology. Twenty years later I remain passionate about understanding what makes us tick and how creatively we manage the vicissitudes of life.

Although I am trained in Transactional Analysis, I have a particular interest in the developing field of intersubjective systems theory and its impact on relationship based psychotherapy.  This blend of training – cognitive, ‘practical’ psychology  alongside the intersubjective and relational – means that I am able to draw on quite different skills and knowledge sets in order to work with differing presentations, issues and processes.

I am a member of several professional study groups, attend regular supervision and keep up to date with current practice through Continued Professional Development with internationally renowned trainers in the field of relational and body psychotherapy. I am a co-editor of the Transactional Analysis Journal, an international peer-reviewed journal published by Routledge.

I live in a tiny village in the Yorkshire Dales where I like to read, write and watch the world go by.
